Chablis Wine

Chablis wine is a fine wine that comes from Chablis, a small section of the town north part of Burgundy, France.
It is a white wine that is made from the Chardonnay grape, but there is so much more to this incredible tasting wine.
The Chablis is grown in rocky landscape and the Kimmeridgian limestone and chalk that lies in the soil is what gives this great wine its distinct flavor. Chablis has a higher acidity and crisp taste than wines that are of Cote d’Or, which to contain more alcohol strength. Chablis is raised in either stainless steel or oak vessels the producers claim to bring out the clarity and brightness of their wine.
Chablis was introduced back in the 500’s when the invasion of Romans brought their wine with them. It was an important part of their greeting to offer wine to guests that were visiting.
Back in 1955 there were only 1,360 acres of vines planted of Chablis compared to today there is a bloom of almost 12,000 acres. It is a very popular wine that is best when aged for around 10 years and served in a cooler temperature of 52 degrees. When aged well Chablis is golden in color and has a spicier flavor to it.
The aromas of Chablis wine are flavors full of lemon and green apple; the taste delivers flavors of lemon, linden and vanilla.

The brisk flavor of light, crisp citrus and a bit of floral character is what gives this wine the exquisite flavor. Chablis goes well with seafood, and poultry.
